experienced PHP/JS developer
Like most "computer geeks" I have a strong passion for all areas of web technology. Having years of both creating and maintaining websites/applications under my belt for a wide variety of clients has given me experiences that are extremely valuable in any working environment. From scripting and deploying websites in various fields, to maintaining servers and now working in mobile platform solutions - I have constantly worked to expand my knowledge of web technologies. My main goal is to support great design with solid code "under the hood."
My main areas of expertise are: PHP (Laravel), MySQL, Javascript, HTML5, CSS and Nginx.
Below are some of the projects I have worked on. Hover over each for a brief description.
Refactored original Popvox Python site into a Laravel powered version. Deployed and managed the project with Laravel Forge. Built with PHP, JavaScript and Less.
Created custom control panel and API for new exhibits at the Nashville Public Library. Built with Laravel, JavaScript and Less.
Created entire backend and API for the "Discover Your Country" exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Built with Laravel and Node.js.
Developed a customized solution for GE Capital to monitor advertisements made by their clients. GE uses this information to comply with government regulations.
Developed a custom media repository for Mars Inc. - used by associates all over the world to share and catalog ads, video, images etc.
Developed a massive touchscreen application for Mars internal communications. Currently 22 units are up and running in plants all over the country.
Developed an online catalog for a specialty guitar shop in Jackson, TN. A custom CMS was also built to allow the clients to maintain inventory on their own.
Added custom javascript programming to this admin panel for a mobile security company. All the reporting/charting features on the dashboard are generated by dynamically inserted html.
Developed a mobile version of the Mars Comm Station for distribution on the iPhone. Built using Titanium Studio.
